…going to wher the mother in law comes from in Italy. with the camera.

Oh, and the wife.

May 8.
A Smell You Adore.
Like about 90% of other people following these prompts I’ve gone with Coffee.
Bur Specifically the smell of coffee that hits you when the sealed Jar you keep it in is popped open and the aroma assaults your senses, making you anticipate the first brew of the day all the more.
Upped the contrast a wee bit and removed the colour, apart from that this is as shot. Kept the shutter open with the overhead light on full blast to overexpose about 10 seconds before darkening the room for the remaining 15. I think.
I was very drunk at the time.

Someone that inspires you.
Well, I couldn’t single anyone out, so I narrowed it down to eight.
It’ll do.
Anyway, its not like I’m gonna bump into Ry Cooder in the street and ask for a pic is it?

You.
Hated the idea of today’s prompt. This is how much I hated it. Just look at the utter disdain and disgust on that face.
Bah!

Bird.
Today’s prompt is “Bird”. But this came first.
Or did it?
Either way it’s bird related and I don’t have a zoom lens (yet) to get any decent bird shots so..It’ll do.

  3. Exposure: 15"

Fun!
My Idea of fun. Dirty ‘oul chainsaws. Machines that both create and destroy. And are noisy. And a wee bit lethal in the wrong hands. And are oily……ahh, great stuff! And this is only a baby one.
I realise I need to replace the bar by the way, and the eagle eyed will spot that the chain is about done too. No more sharpening left in her sor!….Shes Bucked Rightly.

Skyline.
There’s a line there where the sky meets the field of the Jonses. (Could be the fields of the Smiths, mind. Or the Nephilim. I’m not really sure) That’s a good enough skyline. Not too wibbily wobbly like them City wans. Sure they do be up and down all over the place and as for New York! Sure why would you be wanting to build things that look like they’re about to burst the sky? It does that frequently enough of its own accord and haven’t we enough rain in any case?

Peace.
The sound of metal sliding on string in a glissando to the twelfth fret in open G is a sound that has brought great peace to most anyone with ears.

April 30.
Something that makes you sad…
Feckin Dandilions. In my lawn. The cheek of them.
I cant think of anything that makes me sad that I can photograph. I cant take a pic of Sheryl Cole and talk about how she makes me sad because she represents a triumph of ambition and superficial malleable good looks over talent, depth, and genuine artistic creativity.
But only ‘cos she doesn’t live in Medway. Otherwise I would.
Here’s a happy fly on a Dandelion instead.
